What a great way to kick off the summer months!
INSHORE: It looks like everything finally came together at one time. The spanish mackerel and bluefish showed up along the oceanfront with great numbers and a nice trip for half day charters looking to get away for a few hours.
Cobia and spadefish are being caught in their normal early summer haunts.
Bottom fishing for croaker is extremely good right now. The numbers are outstanding but the size are the small to mediums. Spot, mullet, trout and the occasional flounder are also in the mix on these trips.
OFFSHORE: Gaffer dolphin have been the HOT item right now! Just some of the best dolphin fishing in years for the month of May. Tuna fishing is hit or miss right now but the bluefin are here and will be readily available all summer. Wahoo, King Mackerel and marlin are also being had to the South.
Deep drop fishing continues to be great for the anglers willing to wind! Citation class blueline tiles, sea bass, golden tiles, and groupers are hitting the docks!
Looks like June is going to be a great month for fishing for inshore or offshore! Lets go, call 804 725 6288 to schedule your next trip. |
