Well, we have dealt with everything mother nature can throw at us. From gale force winds to a foot of snow, this has been one heck of a January. We have put many miles in the Atlantic this month with the cold water temperatures forcing us to look many miles South to find the fish. Trust me, the only persons who are happy about these long runs are the ones who make and sell diesel fuel.
All in all we have done our best to put our clients on fish and we have done our job. It may have taken a little longer in travel time but it has been worth the wait.
Heres a summary of the last 10 days fishing:
Reynolds trip Day 1 1-23-10
Man, What a rough day today. We had a bit of a breeze left over from the 2 days of wind, having the ocean churned up with some HUGE seas. Our gang pressed on like troopers and we picked out a catch. This was a hard earned day here and Id like to thank the crew for hanging in there and not whining like babies to go in. Good job gang. hopefully tomorrows weather and fishing will be better for you.
Reynolds trip Day 2 1-24-10
Chris and his merry men aboard for day 2 of the event. The gang having tolerated some brutal weather and tough fishing yesterday were rewarded with some calm seas and some off the hook fishing! After yesterdays pick we changed our plan this morning and headed way South to some outstanding fishing. The gang did an outstanding job in angling some great quality fish. Just an all-around good day on the water. Thanks Chris, Pleasure fishing with you as always!
Vaughn trip 1-26-10
What a perfect day on the ocean. Flat seas, warm temps and snapping stripers. Daryl and his crew aboard picked the perfect day and were rewarded with some great fishing. Daryl has fished some pretty nasty days with us so he and his crew deserved this one. Thanks Daryl, Im glad you guys hit a good weather window for a change! Great fishing with you and your gang as always.
Powers trip 1-27-10
Another beautiful day on the ocean! Bubba Powers and his crew aboard with us this morning and they hit a good one! Flat ass ocean again and a nice ride to the South this morning was just the ticket. When we arrived on the scene it was WIDE OPEN. A great bird show with bait and fish all over the place. They were so rank this morning, dozens of fish were following the hooked fish up behind the boat. We threw back a bunch and kept what we wanted for the table and headed in. Hard to believe that we have had such good weather conditions for consecutive days. We will take it! Thanks Bubba and company. GREAT TRIP!
Fishing center make-up 1-28-10
From Pennsylvania, Carolina and Virginia these folks came and made up for a day of fellowship, fun and fishing. This being a make-up trip we had a late departure and found some fish alot closer today. Some times a late departure is a good thing. I cant tell you how many times we have headed so far South and got our fish only to find several places of fish making up on the way back in that were miles closer to the inlet. It just goes to show, the fish do not care about your schedule or the price of fuel!! As long as we get them in the end. Amen. Thanks guys, We enjoyed having you fine folks aboard and look forward to seeing you again. |
