Everything is finally coming together! It has been a slow, tough start for everyone this spring but we finally turned the corner and the fishing is fantastic.
The unusually cold winter we experienced this past year had water temps cooler than normal and thus it took a bit longer for things to warm up. But its on now!
INSHORE- Just about anything an angler could want. Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish have made a strong showing along the oceanfront and are excellent trips for those looking to spend a few hours trolling and enjoying the scenery along the Va Beach oceanfront and Sandbridge areas while having constant action on the rods from these tasty fish.
Ocean front shark fishing is a great option as well and offers plenty of action on a variety of different species such as: Blacktips, spinners, Atlantic sharpnose, sand bar, Hammerheads and even a few Tiger sharks are caught along the ocean front. KIDS LOVE IT!
Spadefish are all over the place now and are a great trip on 3/4 or full days for anglers looking to do battle with these tackle busters. Multiple hook-ups on light action rods will have you scrambling all over the cockpit. Great table fare as well! Triggerfish, sea bass, flounder and blues all hold on these wrecks and offer some different opportunities as well.
Cobia and Drum have made their presence known cruising along the ocean front and are a staple here throughout the summer months. Cobia can reach over 100 pounds and can take your muscles to the limits.
Check out these pretty spadefish!! Good job guys! |
