| ***SPRING TROPHY ROCKFISH INFO, Smith Point, Va.*** |
I would like to take the time to thank all of you who fished with us this winter in Va. Beach. This was an unusually cold winter with some awful weather. For those of you who braved the treacherous drives in the snow, the frigid temps, and the long runs to the fishing grounds I am grateful to you folks as customers and as friends for allowing this season to be a success. I am enclosing a schedule/itinerary to let everyone know where we will be and what kind of fishing we will be doing this year. Starting April 17th the "PROVIDENCE II" will be docked at Smith Point marina for the Spring trophy Striper season. We will continue to run rockfish trips until May 23rd. Mooring at Smith Point marina allows us to take advantage of the Maryland season which opens up 2 weeks prior to the Virginia season. These will be short runs to the fishing grounds allowing more time for fishing and relaxing. It is a great fishery in the calmer waters of the Chesapeake bay. These trips can be booked on either a half or full day basis. We also have several options for lodging for those who are looking to stay the night and enjoy some of the charm of the historic Northern Neck. Some local attractions would be the Reedville fishermens museum or a ferry trip to Tangier Island. Both of these are within a couple of miles from Smith Point marina and are interesting to see.
Our half day trips will be 450.00 for 6 anglers and 50.00 for each angler over 6 7-11 AM or 12-4 PM.
Full day trips will be 600.00 for 6 anglers and 50.00 for each angler over 6
Maximum number anglers is 24
Mate gratuity and fish cleaning are NOT included in the price.
During the trophy season you are allowed 1 fish per person per day. A personal recommendation for folks who are looking to make this a mini vacation would be to fish on an afternoon half-day trip, stay the night and fish the next morning half-day trip. This would allow you to go back with 2 fish per person. This also allows for an extra opportunity in case of inclement weather.
After the 23rd the "PROVIDENCE II" will be back at the Va Beach fishing center to continue our summer season for INSHORE, OFFSHORE and DEEP DROP FISHING. We are currently taking bookings NOW for the summer season as well.
For you bottom fishing fans the "CAPT DAWSON" will be starting up on May 1st for croaker fishing. We will be fishing the upper reaches of the Rappahannock river this spring and departing from Urbanna town marina for May and June. July we will be back at our home port of Gwynns Island to blister the spot fishing as usual. We are taking bookings for summer bottom fishing NOW! Anyone interested in booking a trip contact me ASAP. I can be reached by phone 804 725 6288 or email adamsfishing@yahoo.com. You can also click on one of the "reservations" link scattered throughout my website. |
