Welcome Anglers to Adams Sport Fishing Charters in Virginia Beach! |
Custom Built 53' Virginia Beach Fishing Boat
The Providence II, a custom built 53' fiberglass Virginia Beach charter boat is an all around fishing boat. She does well in the Chesapeake Bay where she has enough horsepower in her two powerful diesel engines to get to the fishing grounds fast so anglers have less ride time and more fish time.
The Providence II also does even better on the ocean whether it's for some striper fishing just off Virginia Beach or for some deep drop wreck fishing some 60 miles or so off the beach. When fishing that far off the coast you definitely want to fish from a reliable sea worthy boat that is loaded with quality state of the art fishing and safety electronic gear. That is the essence of the Providence II, quality, power, safety, state of the art electronics and with a 16' beam she has plenty of fishing room for anglers.

Charter Fishing Gear You May Wish To Bring
Bring a cooler for food and drinks. Ask your Virginia Beach fishing boat Captain how large of a cooler you will need to carry your fish home in. You can ask these questions over the phone. |
A sports bag is a good idea to bring for carrying your rain gear, hat, glasses etc and other personal items that you need on a saltwater charter fishing trip. |
Bring all your food and drinks. If you want to bring beer you should clear it with the charter boat Captain first. |
If you will be fishing in foul or rainy weather then you may want to bring some gear to keep you dry. Not as important on boats with covers. The Providence 2 has shelter. |
Bring sun glasses. Preferrably polarized fishing glasses to lessen the sun's glare that reflects up off the water. |
Bring a camera or video camera to take snapshots of those big fish you catch or video of the beautiful Chesapeake Bay and Virginia Beach sights. |
A hat or ball cap is a good idea, especially for you guys that are getting a bit thin on top. Protect your head from the sun's burning rays. |
If you get sea sick or aren't sure if you get sea sick then it is a very wise idea to take your Dramamine before you leave the dock. Nothing can ruin a fishing trip worse than a guy named "RALPH". |
Even the Virginia Chesapeake Bay and Virginia Beach region can get very hot during the summer. Make sure you bring sunscreen, especially if you easily burn. If you are burnt up you can't enjoy your Virginia Beach charter fishing trip. |
You probably already paid for the trip but you should make sure you have some cash in pocket so you can tip the First Mate. If the boat is full of novice anglers a mates job can be doubly hard. Being Mate on a charter boat is not easy work and these guys deserve every dime they get. Tip them well! | |
